S1E10 - Weight Training for the Soul

In this episode, we discussed some deeper details of our personal backgrounds including a few traumatic instances that helped to shape who we are and who we are becoming.  We also shared a few hard-won words of experience regarding being precautionary with people and the importance of taking some folks with a Siberian salt mine... 
It's tough sometimes to look back at not-so-pleasant periods of life but it's from the experience of pain, betrayal & loss that we grow the most.  It's also that pain, betrayal & loss that makes for some of the best, most sincere & energetic force for ritual work.
We dug deep for this one.  We hope it is helpful for those out there undergoing similar circumstances.

S1E09 - Discipline & Keeping Silent

In this episode, we discussed the need for discipline and the art of keeping silent.  To Know, To Dare, To Will... To Keep Silent is one of the oldest maxims of Magic right up there with Know Thyself.  We talked about why this is so vital to learn for every practitioner and how to develop it as a skillset for the imposition of one's will. 
We discussed the beige version of The Craft... as well as other common aesthetics and the difference a deep dive into knowledge can bring.
We had a lot of fun making this one and think this subject can be of great help for practitioners new and veteran alike.

S1E08 - Altars, what they are and what they are for...

In this episode, we discussed the differing types of altars and what their use would be.  There are so many different types of altars as well as differing uses from permanent altars in one's home, travel altars, or make-shift on-the-go altars using what one might have on hand.  We discussed decor, especially for honoring a particular holiday as well as touched on those specific types of altars used in evocation or invocation work.

S1E07 - Samhain

In this episode, we touched on some of the history & historical practices of the Samhain holiday as practiced by our ancestors as well as our modern-day practice & observation of this sacred fire festival. 
We talked about the importance of 'pausing for the cause', stopping our daily activity, and giving remembrance and thanks to our loved ones who have crossed over as well as to the Gods who have taken the time to be with us throughout the year.

S1E06 - The Witch of Seven Gables (Special Guest - C.Greenshields)

In this episode, we interviewed our very first guest on In The Weedz; Chris Greenshields.  Chris is a published author, riverkeeper, and practitioner located in Lansing, Michigan. 
Our conversation went from where we began our friendship, to our original Coven, the infamous woods we all practiced in, and ended with his and his wife's conservation efforts as a River Keeper.
This was a lot of fun and we had a great conversation. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

S1E5.5 Who Called the Po Po

In this episode, we discussed recent events taking place at a metaphysical store located in Hanover, PA where the local Chief of Police took it upon himself to 'advise' the young shop owner about the PA Fortune Telling law.
While maybe his intentions were good - the appearance of the action might lead one to believe otherwise.  
We discussed our personal opinions on enforcing archaic laws in the great state of Pennsylvania as well as the direct need for all communities to come together and stop bickering over talking points put there to distract us all.

S1E05 - Divination

In this episode, we discussed a few methods and a brief history of divination including Tarot, Augury, Water Witches, Channeling, Bibliomancy, Automatic Writing, Spirit Boards, Pendulums, and omens.  We discussed some of the dangers, pitfalls, and mistakes made as well as a few success stories while being entertained by Bella the nail clicking starved for attention overfamiliar...

S1E04 - Witch Wars

In this episode, we touched on some of the Witch Wars past & present and the futility of it all.  We discussed the importance of supporting your local metaphysical store over the corporate overlords trying to cash in on our spirituality. We also spent some time discussing some of our past leaders in The Craft and how important it is to learn about what they did and how much their contributions are still felt to this day - despite so many not knowing anything about them. We concluded with the observation that not all 'elders' are 'old'.... some of the most amazing things come out of the mouths of old-soul youth.  We hope you enjoy it - like/follow, subscribe and share!
